I was a Librarian and Diversity Fellow at the Health Sciences Library at SUNY Upstate Medical University. My position was unique to the Library, so I wanted to document my journey. Also, I wanted to bring light to the many services that the Library provides.
Currently, I am the Consumer Health Program Specialist with the Network of the National Library of Medicine(NNLM) Training Office. In this role, I will deliver training and develop a nationwide program to vastly expand the number of library staff with the skills and knowledge to provide reliable health information in communities in cooperation with the NNLM All of Us Program Center.
I truly believe documenting my story is necessary. If I don’t write about it, then it is like it never happened.
Please send me your comments and/or questions. I would love to hear from you.
